May 2007

The Britten Partnership is working with AimHigher and Skills for Health to establish an employer engagement strategy working with schools and the health sectors across the east of England.

The project involves re-establishing the Health Ambassador programme to Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambs. This programme supports health professional work with schools to inform and advise on working in the health sector.

The Britten Partnership teams up with Cambridgeshire Education Business Partnership (CEBLO) Cambs County Council and Team Peterborough to deliver a county wide conference on the Specialised Diplomas. For more information contact Philip Day at Connexions.

The 2nd BBC sponsored Employer Engagement Awards are being finalised across the East of England. The hugely successful awards launched in 2006, recognise the work of employers and schools in the area of education/business partnerships. Tackling HIV-the development of a learning resource- The Britten Partnership has been working with Hills Road Sixth Form College and the Learning and Skills Network to produce work related science based learning material for applied science A levels. Leadership in local communities- the Britten Partnership teams up with the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Learning Partnership Trust to deliver a series of leadership seminars with community groups. For more information contact John.

Calling all creative and media companies – The Britten Partnership in conjunction with Longsands Community College, hosted a business breakfast at the Old Bridge Hotel for creative and media companies across Cambridgeshire. At a 'by invitation only' event, 25 business leaders met to discuss how to work with schools and colleges on the specialised diplomas being introduced in September 2008 in schools across the UK. Developing science based resources for applied A level students. The Britten Partnership wins a new contract with the learning and Skills Network. Boom-Biz- Kate Britten joins Boom-Biz Steering Group. Boom –Biz is a dynamic team building tool for schools and young people to use to develop enterprise skills. For more information contact Samantha Potts at Cambridge Enterprise.

Kate Britten joins The Greater Cambridge Partnership as non-executive Director of the Operational Board. Her expertise is being used to advise the Board on skills, learning and educational issues.


12th July 2006

Award winning design company Black Pig launches regional design competition for schools across the East of England. The Britten Partnership, as part of its Work with Scools contract is acting to advisor to Black Pig on all aspects of contact with schools.For information on the creative competion click here

Delivering aspects of The Work with Schools Project , we will support schools in developing their engagement with the construction, engineering, creative industries and health and social care sectors.

The Britten Partnership joins the Cambridgeshire Chambers of Commerce. Immediate benefits are already being felt. We have joined the Chambers Education Sector group, providing excellent networking opportunities. We will be presenting our company to the Chambers Construction Sector in February 2006.


20th February 2006

Conference ·Moving on- Building a creative community·. The Britten Partnership has worked with Southend Excellence Cluster to organize a conference attracting 1500 teaching and non teaching staff from across Southend, by invitation only. Speakers include Meredith Belbin, Guy Claxton, Rick Shade and Russell Pru.


October 2005

·February 2006 The Britten Partnership working with Bedfordshire County Council on evaluating provision for 14-16 year old disaffected young people across Bedford and South Bedfordshire.
