Peter Davis - Managing Director.

Peter Davis is a qualified chemical engineer and has held several senior management positions in the processing industry including Director of Manufacturing and Logistics for a large multinational refining and marketing company. Peter has also managed several large engineering, logistics, IT and turnaround projects.

Early in his career he took an interest in education and has held voluntary appointments such as school governor and Chair of an Education Action Zone as well as supporting many business/education activities within his own company. This eventually led to a career change to work in a professional capacity with schools and young people in the area of work related learning.

Peter has acted as a consultant to a regional business/education interface project operating in Suffolk. In this role he has worked with employers, Sector Skills Councils, trade associations and many partner agencies over a wide range of sectors. Peter has assisted schools and the local authority to develop employer engagement models to prepare for the new 14 to 19 Diplomas and Young Apprenticeships. He has worked with Skills for Care on several projects, including Work Placement Guides for employers and young people, public sector work placements and Care Ambassadors. He has also developed guides to support a Young Apprenticeship in engineering.

Peter has managed a project for the Learning and Skills Network to develop a curriculum to prepare young people with severe learning difficulties for work placements in adult social care.

Peter has also worked on Building Schools for the Future Projects in the areas of Employer Engagement, Employment and Skills and Community Regeneration.

Recently Peter has managed the Care Ambassador Programme and the Health Ambassadors East Programme as well as having overall responsibility for a number of themed conferences for young people.
